What do you know about the ten days of DulHajah? The blessed ten days and what to do in them.

The prophet Muhammad (pbuh) told us that no other days have the value such as these days(the ten days of DulHajah)because they contain great and blessed works which are the basics of the Islamic religion as prayers ,fasting,Hajj and charity.Allah glorified and exalted be he has made a vow with these days in the holy Qura’n because of sanctity as Allah says:{ By the dawn. By the ten nights (i.e. the first ten days of the month of Dhul-Hijjah }Narrated Ibn ‘Abbâs رضي الله عنهما: The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these (first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah).” Then some Companions of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Not even Jihâd ?” He replied, “Not even Jihâd, except that of a man who does it by putting himself and his property in danger (for Allâh’s sake) and does not return with any of those things.” (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Vol.2, Hadith No.86).

What to do in these ten days?

First:The remembrance of Allah by saying(الله أكبر-الله أكبر-لا إله إلا الله-الله أكبر –الله أكبر ولله الحمد)

These words mean Allah is the most great and no god but Allah and praise be to Allah. The Muslim should raise his voice with these word in the markets or in the ways where ever he goes and teach his family to do so as the prophet and his followers done.

Second:The muslim maintains his prayer with Muslims in the Masjed(the mosque) in these days and in the rest of his life.

Third: Sharity and alms if he has money or wealth to the poor Muslims.

Fourth: Fasting:for the one that he can fast these days or part of them ,particularly the great day which is the ninth day that called { Yaum Arafah } the day that when pilgrims are in the place of Arafat in makkah. The one who fast this day .Allah will expiate his sins and bad deeds for two years ,the last year and the next year as it is proven by the messenger of Allah(pbuh).

Fifth: Al-Hajj; for the one who can perform it .Allah said in the holy Qura’n:{  In it are manifest signs (for example), the Maqâm (place) of Ibrâhîm (Abraham); whosoever enters it, he attains security. And Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to the House (Ka‘bah ) is a duty that mankind owes to Allâh, those who can afford the expenses (for one’s conveyance, provision and residence); and whoever disbelieves [i.e. denies Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah), then he is a disbeliever of Allâh], then Allâh stands not in need of any of the ‘Âlamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists) 3/97.

(The performance of Hajj is an enjoined duty and its superiority, and the Statement of Allâh عز وجل: “Hajj (pilgrimage) to the House (Ka‘bah), is a duty that mankind owes to Allâh, those who can afford the expenses (for one’s conveyance, provision and residence); and whoever disbelieves [i.e. denies Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah), then he is a disbeliever of Allâh], then Allâh stands not in need of any of the ‘Âlamîn.” (V.3:97) (Sahih Al-Bukhâri, Vol.2, Chapter 1, The Book of Hajj, P. 344).

Islâm demolishes all the previous evil deeds and so do migration (for Allâh’s sake) and Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) [Al-Lû’lû wal-Marjân] (Sahih Muslim ).

So,the Muslim should exploits these days in good deeds because these days are a part of his life.    alimanlight.com
